世界経済フォーラム Global Risks Report 2026 に見る経済リスクの後退

来週1月19日から始まるダボス会議を前に、世界経済フォーラム(WEF)から、一昨日の1月14日、「グローバルリスク報告書 2026」Global Risks Report 2026 が明らかにされています。もちろん、pdfの全文リポートもアップロードされています。まず、世界経済フォーラムのサイトからリポートの要旨を引用すると以下のとおりです。

Global Risks Report 2026
The Global Risks Report 2026, the 21st edition of this annual report, marks the second half of a turbulent decade. The report analyses global risks through three timeframes to support decision-makers in balancing current crises and longer-term priorities. Chapter 1 presents the findings of this year's Global Risks Perception Survey (GRPS), which captures insights from over 1,300 experts worldwide. It explores risks in the current or immediate term (in 2026), the short-to-medium term (to 2028) and in the long term (to 2036). Chapter 2 explores the range of implications of these risks and their interconnections, through six in-depth analyses of selected themes. Below are the key findings of the report, in which we compare the risk outlooks across the three-time horizons.

たぶん、リポートの Key findings p.12 の FIGURE 7 Relative severity of global risks, short term (2 years) and long term (10 years) と第1章 Global Risks 2026-2036: The Age of Competition p.20 に現れる FIGURE 17 Relative severity of global risks, short term (2 years) and long term (10 years) は同じものだと思うのですが、後者の方を引用すると次の通りです。

見れば判りますが、横軸が Short-term severity (2 years)、縦軸が Long-term severity (10 years) となる散布図です。基本的に、このグラフの右上に行くほど短期でも長期でも深刻度が高い、ということなのですが、大雑把に短期の深刻度は長期と正の相関にあるように見えます。これまた大雑把に、Debt にせよ、Economic downturn にせよ、青いドットの経済的なリスクは、経済以外のほかの環境や地政学のリスクに比較して、深刻度はそれほど高くない、とみなされているようです。ですので、リポート p.19 では、"Economic risks are absent from the top 10 rankings when it comes to the outlook for the next decade, featuring primarily at the lower end of the risk ranking." と評価されていたりします。

私はダボス会議はそれほど注目していませんので、これくらいでお茶を濁しておきますが、何かあれば、また、取り上げたいと思います。
